What is calcite?

Calcite, just listen to the name, you may feel unfamiliar, but in fact it should be regarded as our old friend. It is mentioned in the biology textbook that the trilobites, which have ruled the earth for 100 million years, become fossils and are composed of calcite. In large limestone caves, those spectacular stalactites and stalagmites are also a way of calcite.

calciteAs a calcium carbonate mineral, calcite is the most common natural calcium carbonate and is produced in all countries in the world. It is the most important rock-forming ore on the earth. For example, limestone and marble are composed of calcite. Calcite occupies more than 40% of the total mass of the earth's crust, and the types are extremely rich, no less than 200 species.

The marble floors at home and the white marble railings of palaces and temples are all products of calcite. In this way, calcite can be regarded as the kind of stone we are most familiar with, but many people "meet but don't know each other".

Not only are trilobite fossils, but many fossils in the sea are made of calcite. Even corals are the first coral insects to attach to the calcareous bone piles of the ancestor corals, in the form of tiny crystal calcite aggregates.

Calcite grinding process

Calcite, widely distributed, with a hardness of 2.7-3.0, is also called stalactite, stalagmite and white marble. The main component of calcite is calcium carbonate, and its main purpose is to make heavy calcium powder and light calcium powder. Calcite powder of different fineness is widely used in many fields such as papermaking, medicine, chemical industry, agriculture and so on.

After calcite is ground by an industrial grinding mill, calcite powder can be obtained. Usually the calcite powder production line includes primary crushing (jaw crusher), second crushing (cone crushing or hammer crushing), industrial mill grinding, calcite powder classification, and qualified finished powder collection. Among them, the calcite mill is particularly important, because the fineness requirements of calcite powder are different according to different downstream applications, and the appropriate mill must be selected according to the actual situation.

Types of Calcite Industrial Grinding Mill

Here are 3 types of CLIRIK industrial grinding mills: YGM Raymond mill, HGM ultrafine grinding mill, CLUM vertical roller mill. They can satisfy 80-3000 mesh powder grinding of calcite powder.

Raymond millYGM Raymond mill

Finished product fineness: 80-600mesh
Capacity: 1-30t/h
Range of application: Feldspar, calcite, limestone, talc, barite, rare earth, marble, phosphate ore, kaolin, bentonite, gypsum, Perlite diatomite, dolomite etc.
Advantage:
The production volume is 20% to 30% higher than R Raymond mill;
High efficiency and stability;
Higher accuracy powder classify, without coarseness missing;
The increase mechanism of linkage pressure of the rollers, which greatly prolongs the useful life of the equipment and increases the capacity by 20% under the same power;
